Edge browser extensions accidentally leaked

Microsoft’s Edge browser, which came out alongside their Windows 10 update, is quite the browser. Fast, fluid, responsive; but despite its usefulness, it has falling points by being limited to Windows, and by foremost not having any extension support. The company had announced, in response, that extension support would be provided before the end of the year, only to go on and say they’d delay it until next year.

However, all has seemed to change. Twitter user WalkingCat said Microsoft had accidentally made two extensions for Edge available for a short while. The page to access said extensions now leads to a simple error message.

According to the post and images, the first two extensions were Pinterest’s “Pin it” button, and the Reddit Enhancement Suite. However, nothing has been stated nor confirmed from Microsoft. This, along with the intention of bringing third-party extension support next year makes this evidence rather fuzzy. However, if the former is not true, then it shows a positively wonderful amount of progress for the young Edge browser.
