The Standard Bank Group scholarship is geared towards promoting academic excellence and nurturing the next generation of African talent and leadership. This bursary is only eligible to applicants from South Africa and supports both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in different fields, including:

Standard Bank Group Bursary (Undergraduate Programme)
Eligibility criteria for the Standard Bank Group Bursary Programme 2024 require completion of the 1st year of study and seeking funding from the 2nd year onwards. A strong academic performance, with a minimum average of 65% in recent exams is needed. With full-time registration in an accredited undergraduate programme. The applicant also would participate in a formal assessment process, which includes a psychometric evaluation and interview. As well as a demonstrated financial need.

Part of the eligibility criteria includes a minimum average of 65% in recent exams.
You’ll require full-time registration at a public South African higher education institution as well as participation in a formal assessment process, which includes a psychometric evaluation and interview. The bursary fund is a comprehensive, full-cost bursary covering university tuition fees and you need to have a demonstrated financial need.
Other benefits include accommodation in a university residence or private housing which is subject to limits. Meal provisions through the university or self-catering options. Books and study materials, laptop computer, monthly stipend for living expenses, and transportation between home and campus four times a year.
