Most Powerful Passport in The World Ranked

The most powerful passport in the world grants its holders access to many countries without a prior visa. As determined by the Henley passport index, which measures the number of countries you may visit without one. Many factors, including regional agreements, political stability, economic strength, and diplomatic ties determine the passport’s power. The more countries a passport holder can visit without obtaining a visa or visa-on-arrival privileges, the more powerful the passport is considered.

This year, the Henley passport index has released the passport power ranking. The holders of these passports can travel visa-free to the majority of international destinations their passports allow. Travelers will not be required to pay extra fees for each person they are traveling with if they are permitted to enter these countries without a visa. Without a visa, you may go anywhere globally at any time, saving you time and effort.

In many cases, the most powerful passport allows for short-term travel and entry for tourism or business purposes. Migration policies are entirely separate from passport strength. Countries have their own immigration laws, regulations, and visa policies. With the conditions and requirements for anyone wishing to move there permanently or for an extended period. You might still need a job seeker visa to work and live in a country ranked for visa-free travel.

Some countries with very high demand for skilled workers often have more flexible Job Seeker Visa requirements and eligibility criteria for employment. While other countries with high demand for experienced workers may have strict immigration policies and more stringent work requirements.

  • Move to Canada as FG Aims to Fill 432,000 Labour Gap

Move to Canada as FG Aims to Fill 432,000 Labour Gap

The federal government of Canada aims to welcome nearly 432,000 immigrants to Canada this year, as a part of a three-year plan to fill critical labour-market gaps and support a post-pandemic economic recovery.

The annual immigration levels plan, tabled in Parliament Monday, projects Canada will admit 431,645 permanent residents in 2022, followed approximately by 447,000 in 2023 and 451,000 in 2024. The majority of the permanent resident spots – 56 per cent – will be designated for immigrants coming to Canada to fill job vacancies this year.

Speaking to The Globe and Mail, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser said the COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted how key immigrants are to Canada’s success, as newcomers fill many front-line jobs.

“When I talk to restaurants, machine shops, health care providers or virtually any other business, I see help-wanted signs in windows,” Mr. Fraser said.

“By launching what is the most ambitious immigration plan in the history of Canada, we are going to equip the Canadian economy with the workers it needs.”

    Canada need working class immigrants

Ottawa says immigration accounts for 100 per cent of labour-force growth and, with five million Canadians set to retire by the end of this decade, the worker-to-retiree ratio will drop – demonstrating the need for increased immigration.

Goldy Hyder, president and chief executive officer of the Business Council of Canada, said the number of job vacancies in the country is near an all-time high and immigration will be a key driver of pandemic recovery. He welcomed the government’s immigration targets Monday, but he said the plan must be supported by increased processing capability and supports for newcomers.

“To help meet these new targets, we urge the government to expand the immigration system’s processing capacity by adding new processing centres, updating outdated IT systems, and increasing recruitment and training of border agents and settlement services personnel. A growing workforce should also be accompanied by increased investments in public services, housing, and infrastructure,” Mr. Hyder said in a statement.

Mr. Fraser said the government recently hired 500 new processing staff and set aside $85-million in new funding to reduce application backlogs.

NDP immigration critic Jenny Kwan urged the government to introduce special immigration levels to give the 500,000 migrant workers already in Canada a path to settlement and help address the labour-skill shortage.

While the government plans to increase the number of economic immigrants it welcomes to Canada over the next three years, from nearly 242,000 this year to more than 267,000 in 2024, it will simultaneously reduce the number of refugees to whom it offers safe haven. Canada will resettle approximately 77,000 refugees this year, 74,000 in 2023 and 62,500 in 2024. Mr. Fraser said resettlement numbers will gradually decrease as Canada follows through with its commitment to resettle 40,000 Afghan refugees over the next two years. More than 7,550 Afghan refugees have been resettled in Canada since last August.

The reduction in refugee-resettlement targets – particularly the government’s plan to accept more privately sponsored refugees than government-assisted refugees – has sparked concern for advocates.

“The responsibility to resettle refugees lies with the government – to reflect that responsibility, the government should resettle more refugees than private citizens. Yet the levels show private sponsors are being asked to do one and a half times as much resettlement as the government,” the Canadian Council for Refugees said in a statement.

How to Apply for a Canadian Work Visa

If you are looking to settle in Canada, here are some helpful links to get you started

Overall immigration levels have grown substantially since the Liberals took power in 2015. Numbers continued to grow until 2020, when Canada only admitted 184,500 newcomers because of the challenges posed by the pandemic. Shuttered overseas visa offices, closed borders, quarantine restrictions and challenges booking flights heavily affected the immigration system.

Immigration numbers rebounded in 2021, when Canada welcomed 405,000 new permanent residents – breaking the all-time record set in 1913. The majority of the newcomers were already in Canada on temporary status, including temporary foreign workers in the skilled trades, health care and technology, and international students.

The government has not tabled an immigration levels plans since October, 2020. It normally announces it immigration targets by Nov. 1, but last year’s plan was delayed because of the federal election.

How to Immigrate to Canada as a Social Worker

There are several ways to immigrate to Canada as a social worker, but we’ve listed the two most popular and quickest ways to do it.

    1. Express Entry

The Express Entry system is a great way to move to Canada as a social worker, as it is a system that administers three federal economic immigration programs. These are the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program and the Canadian Experience Class.

By applying through the Express Entry system, you can come to Canada as a permanent resident, if you are successful. This is done by placing your application in a lottery pool with other eligible applicants. Here you will receive a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score which will determine your ranking in the pool. To qualify, you must meet or exceed the specific CRS cut-off score. If you are successful, you will have the opportunity to apply for permanent residence in Canada by receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA).

The benefits of the Express Entry system include:

    • You can immigrate to Canada with or without a job offer;
    • Having a qualification in social work will earn you CRS points;
    • If you aren’t successful the first time around you will remain in the Express Entry pool where you can improve your CRS score; and
    • The processing time of your application can take as little as 6 months, making it one of the fastest immigration systems in Canada.

This is a program you won’t want to ignore, as the Express Entry system is issuing 105,500 invitations to apply (ITAs) this year alone.

    2. Provincial Nominee Program

The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is an arrangement that has been established for local provinces to nominate eligible economic immigrants who wish to work and stay in a particular province.

To increase your chances of receiving a nomination from a province, the best practice is to apply where your skills are in demand. The more they are in demand, the better their chances. In this situation, you should look for the best provinces to apply for social work jobs in Canada, in order to increase your chances of receiving an appointment.

How do I apply for a Provincial Nomination Program?

The first step is to get approval from the province to which you have applied. This can be quite quick, as it takes four to nine weeks. The second step may take a little longer, as it consists of medical, police and security checks. It would take around six to eight months or even longer depending on your application.

There are two ways to request an appointment.

    Direct Application Process

If you are applying through this application form, you must send the application directly to the province to which you are applying. You will need to send the paper application by mail or courier. It may take 15 to 19 months to wait for your results.

    Express Entry Application Process

Going through the Express Entry system will give you two options. They are:

    1. Expression of Interest – this is where you can express interest in the province through your Express Entry profile. The province will nominate you if you have the right skills and experience. Remember it’s important to choose a province where social work jobs are in demand.
    2. Apply through a Provincial Nominee Express Entry Stream.

Applying via the Express Entry system does have its perks as the process will take a little over six to eight months.

How do you plan to work in Canada? With over 100 visa programs that allow foreigners to come to the country on a temporary or permanent basis, there are many options to consider. Here are two popular visa programs to consider that also allow you to bring family members to Canada:

    1. Express Entry System

If you are a skilled worker, such as an accountant, engineer, or geologist, and want to work in the Canadian oil and gas industry, one of the fastest and easiest ways to do so is to go through the Express Entry immigration system. If your application is successful, you will be granted a Canadian permanent resident visa. One of the main advantages of the Express Route is that you do not need to find a job in the oil and gas industry in Canada to qualify for an Express Entry program, but you can improve your application with 50 to 200 extra points!

    Benefits of Express Entry

    • No job offer is required but then you’ll need settlement funds
    • Processes applications in 6 months
    • You can live and work anywhere in Canada except if you’re a provincial nominee
    • The entire process is online-based for your convenience

    2. Canadian Work Permit

Are you not looking to settle in Canada or at least not right away? You will need a job offer to qualify for a work permit that will allow you to work in Canada on a temporary basis. A Canadian work permit is issued with a temporary resident visa and indicates who you can work for, where you can work, and for how long you can work in the country. The acquisition of work experience in Canada is an effective springboard towards a future permanent residence. Canada prioritizes applicants with local work experience through certain immigration programs like the Provincial Nomination Program, for example.

It’s always a good idea to understand your visa and immigration options before taking the plunge to be armed with an optimal plan for your future in the Far North.

    • A minimum of at least one year’s work experience, which is equivalent to about 1,560 hours in the past ten years in the field you are applying for.
    • Language proficiency in English and/or French to communicate in your job effectively. To prove that your language skills are good, you must pass a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) test and earn at least a score of 7 in each of the four categories, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening.

The next step is to check if the province you want to move to and find a job that needs engineers in your industry. Once requested by the province of your choice, your profile will be measured against your CRS score of 1200 points. The more requirements you complete, the higher your score will be and the more eligible you will be for the Canadian government. If you apply for a job and get a permanent job offer in a province, your CRS score will also increase significantly, which may guarantee you an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in Canada.

Usually, the Canadian Immigration will look closely at you and your spouse for 2 full years before signing off the papers to authenticate the marriage.

The conditions are pretty simple. You may marry your partner in your country of citizenship or in any other country except for Canada and afterwards receive an overseas sponsorship.

    Trade Agreements

If you work with a company that has an arm in Canada or your company has a contract with a Canadian company, you can simply request a transfer to a branch in Canada. It is that easy but of course, there must be a link between your company and Canada or a Canadian company.

    • Want to work for more than one employer in Canada
    • You want to work in more than one location
    • You’d like to earn some money so that you can travel

Australia, Denmark, Japan, Norway, Taiwan, Austria, Estonia, South Korea, Poland, Ukraine, Belgium, France, Latvia, Slovakia, United Kingdom, Chile, Germany, Lithuania, Slovenia, Costa Rica, Hong Kong, Mexico, Spain, Croatia, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy, New Zealand, and Switzerland are all participating countries. For a few of them, eligibility expires at age 29 or 30.

You can use the work experience gathered during a working holiday to apply for permanent residence through the CEC, a federal skilled worker of trades program, or a particular province’s skilled worker and semi-skilled worker program.

    Visitor Visa

Another way you can move to Canada is by visiting Canada using the Visitor Visa. You can’t find a job with this type of Visa or even allowed to work. However, you can network and chat with people in your industry. You can’t say you are coming to Canada to look for a job when asked by an Immigration officer at the border of your purpose to Canada, You sure have to lie about it. After all, you here to sight see and enjoy your vacation in Canada.

Have fun; meet people and have a nice time in Canada while networking and connecting with people. Some may offer you a job to come back to Canada after the expiration of your stay.

    Express Entry

  • Canada Student Visa – How To Apply

Canada Student Visa – How To Apply

Every year, lots of young people log on to the internet to check for Canada student visa. Apparently, they want to study in Canada. For you to study in Canada, you basically need to obtain a Canadian study permit. In some cases where your course or study duration is less than 6 months, you won’t necessarily be needing a study permit.

However, it is important you get this study permit before moving to Canada. The reason is; if you decide to continue your studies in another program, you will have to leave Canada then apply for it. I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t want that stress.

Here is the catch; if you have your Canadian study permit before moving to Canada and it expires during the course of your stay there, you can renew the permit within Canada. That really saves you a lot of stress and money of course.

For those who are full-time students duly registered at an accredited higher institution, the study permit can help you work within your school. Also, you can work off-campus, or even as an intern in a firm relating to your major course of study. Very importantly, having a study permit can help you stay back in Canada after your studies and apply for permanent residency.

Application Process For Canadian Study Permit

There are basically two ways you can apply for the Canadian study permit. One is applying online and the other is by a physical paper application. Instructions on how to do that can be found on the Citizenship and Immigration Canada, CIC website. Applying online is super faster. Using the paper option takes as long as about 2 times the duration of the online option.

If you choose to apply online (which is faster), you will need to get your credit/debit card ready for online payment. Also, you need electronic copies of the required documents handy. The immigration office in your country will inform you of the necessary documents you’ll be needing. These document requirements vary based on country location.

How To Obtain Canada Student Visa

Step 1. The very first thing and most crucial if you want to get your Canadian student visa is to obtain a formal letter of acceptance from a recognized higher institution in Canada. This does not end here for students who wish to study in Quebec. A certificate of acceptance aka CAQ must be issued to the student by the government. All these requirements can be gotten online so no sweats.

Step 2. When you are done with the above, the next step is to get the Canadian student visa application package. This can be gotten on the CIC website. Alternatively but not recommend is to visit a Canadian visa office or Canadian Embassy in your country to apply. The latter takes longer time and could be really time and energy-consuming.

Step 3. You will be asked some bio-data questions on the CIC website. These questions will let you know if you are eligible to apply or not. You need to answer them correctly in order to get your student visa application package. Do NOT enter wrong information there. Make sure anything you enter it is verifiable.

Step 4. When your result from the questions you were asked are out and you found eligible, you will get a personal checklist code, valid for 60 days. This checklist code is what you will use when submitting your application online. Be sure to print out the page containing the code as well have a soft copy of it for referencing later. This page will also embody a detailed application guide, an estimated tuition fee, the list of crucial documents you will need to submit.

Step 5. Create a MyCIC account when you’re ready to apply. This is where you will enter your personal checklist code supplied to you in step 4. You will then receive your personal document checklist which allows you to upload and send your documents to CIC. You’ll need a printer or a scanner to do this.

Step 6. This is where you submit your application to CIC. Before you submit, ensure that all documents are ready and you have also paid your fees. If all is checked, go ahead and submit.

Step 7. This depends! Some applicants may be invited for an interview in the visa office in their country of residence.

    After Applying, What Next?

If your application is approved, you’ll receive a Port of Entry (POE) Letter of Introduction, while students from countries which require an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) and/or a temporary residence visa will be issued these if required. The eTA will be linked to your passport. It is important that you travel with the passport you used when you applied for your study permit. The eTA will be valid for five years or until your passport expires, whichever comes first.

Present these along with your passport, proof of your finances and your letter of acceptance (and any other documents that you’ve been advised to take) to the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) in Canada, who will then issue your Canadian study permit and allow you access into Canada.

Wishing you all the best as you apply for your Canada student visa. Remember, sharing is caring, share this post to enlighten others.

  • 5 Simple Ways to Achieve U.S Visa Interview

5 Simple Ways to Achieve U.S Visa Interview

If you have ever been rejected a U.S visa maybe once, or twice or you are planning to visit the U.S and will likely need to get a visa from the USA embassy then you might want to consider getting acquainted with these Five simple ways of achieving a successful visa interview.

    1) Dressing

Walk in Wardrobes and Dressing Rooms | Stylish Living | Strachan
    Dress well and properly

The embassy is an official place meaning that, your dressing style should at least have a formal look in-between. This formal look should reflect the kind of visa that you are applying for.

If you have a visa appointment at the U.S embassy, your dressing matters. Choose what you wear wisely because at the U.S embassy, an interviewer can see everyone up in line before the interview and clothes sometimes can reveal your personality if or not you are the kind of person to be allowed into their country.

    Don’t forget to wear perfume

It is one thing to look good and another thing to smell good. If an interviewer can’t withstand an unpleasant smell, they are prone to discharge you quickly with less questions which wouldn’t give you the opportunity to prove why you worth a visa.

    2) Greetings

8 Smart Steps to a Successful English Interview | FluentU Business ...
    Greetings work like magic

Greetings are very important in our daily lives as human beings because, greetings depict courtesy, and respect for one another. greetings can create a good impression, establish a good rapport for any conversation.

At the U.S embassy, most interviewers are used to greeting people first like “welcome sir/Ma’am” or, “good day sir/Ma’am” depending on the time of the interview. The best way is to greet the interviewer first. That gives the impression that you know what you are doing, you know why you are here. Such greetings can relieve your tension and prepare you to answer questions.

    3) Sincerity towards the purpose of travel

The U.S embassy is very kin with the purpose of travel. In fact, this is the main reason why applicants are called for interview. Determining the truth from applicants about the purpose of their travel to the U.S is the hardest job for most interviewers at the U.S embassy.

The reason most people get rejected for visa even though they are been sincere about the purpose of their travel is because, most interviewers from their previous experience of interviewing applicants have gathered some data about when an applicant is lying and what they do when they lie etc. To change that perception, you need to be acquainted with the purpose of your travel and your response should show some level of confidence about why you should be granted the visa.

Finally, if you have a relative in U.S, please do not lie that you don’t.

    4) Face contact / face to face communication

Face To Face Job Interview Clipart

When you are at the U.S embassy, you might want to drop your cultural norms for example, in some culture, respect is shown when one doesn’t look other people face to face in a conversation.

After exchanging greetings with the interviewer, the next thing is to always look the interviewer face to face at all times. This proves to the interviewer that; an applicant is aware that they are at the embassy for an interview and they are giving respect to the interview and the interviewer.

    5) Be a good listener

When you are in front of the interviewer at the U.S embassy, always pay attention to questions before answering. Paying attention to the question will lead to a good answer but of course sometimes, an applicant can be tensed and stutter. It is okay to be tensed, the interviewers know when you are been sincere yet you are tensed because its your first time.

The best way to calm down is to pay attention to the question, digest it before giving an answer. If you don’t understand the question don’t be scared to ask the interviewer to repeat (you won’t be penalized).

In a nutshell, the best way to achieve a successful visa interview at the U.S embassy is to dress well, exchange greetings, be sincere about your purpose of travel, always look the interviewer face to face, and listen attentively to the interviewer.

  • Life After COVID-19: Aviointeriors Leads with Innovative Seat Design for Economy Fliers

Life After COVID-19: Aviointeriors Leads with Innovative Seat Design for Economy Fliers

Concerns about the safety of passengers on flight in the aftermath of the global pandemic (COVID-19) has been on the rise. There is the need for the compulsory use of face masks and it has become essential that passengers need to maintain a distance of approximately six feet or two meters from others.

As part of the solution to the safety of passengers, especially the economic fliers, an Italian firm Aviointeriors known to have been producing aircraft cabin interiors and passengers’ seats for over 40 years, has come up with an interesting new seat design that would best ensure a safe distance between passengers.

    Janus and Glassafe Seats Design

The two new seat designs were called the “Janus seat” and the “Glassafe seat”. Plans for the both seat designs were released by Aviointeriors on the 20th of this month (April 2020).

    source: Aviointeriors

The “Janus seats” contain three seats in a row that prevents passengers from directly facing each other in a close proximity. The middle seat is made to face the back while the rest of the seats face the front thus, it was called a “two face Janus”. Each seat has a shield around it believed to have been “made of transparent material” that act to “prevent breath propagation”

The “Glassafe seats” has some protective shield that not only separates passengers but “to reduce the probability of contamination by virus or any other.”

Aviointeriors told CNN that many airlines have already started showing interest in both the Jenus and the Glassafe seat designs thus, the company is currently going through the engineering design steps. In fact, the company believes and promised to deliver the newly designed seats within 6 months.

Although the company has acknowledged the weight nature of the “Glassafe” design but they insist, having such a design is better than flying with an empty middle seat.

Satisfied that both designs are suitable for narrow and wide body aircraft, the company went ahead to file patent applications for the both designs.
