One of the upcoming Marvel superhero series featuring Alaqua Cox in the lead role of Maya Lopez(Echo). Portrayed as the adoptive daughter of Kingpin, Echo has deep ties to Daredevil. This deaf Native American character was crafted by David Mack and Joe Quesada, making her debut in the 1999 Daredevil Vol. 2 episode 9. Like Taskmaster, Echo can mimic her opponents’ fighting styles and eventually joined the New Avengers as the inaugural Ronin. Echo’s story will be released in a full season drop premiere on Hulu.
Marvel Zombies
Following its introduction in Marvel’s What If?, Marvel Zombies will be an animated series reimagining the Marvel Universe as new heroes battle against a spreading zombie scourge. Birth/Rebirth Horror Movie
Laura Moss’ “birth/rebirth” explores the pain and stress of manipulating human bodies through medical experimentation. The film centers on Rose and Celie, two women who, after the death of Celie’s daughter, embark on a twisted journey to reanimate the child’s body. Contrary to expectations, the narrative avoids typical horror tropes, presenting a medical thriller where Celie and Rose, both with hidden motives, collaborate on this bizarre experiment.
Rose, an intense and secretive morgue worker, and Celie, a delivery nurse, unexpectedly join forces. Skinamarink
In this contained Canadian production, young children find themselves trapped in their darkened homes. Creating a clever narrative that occasionally brushes nightmarish terrains through a visual aesthetic reminiscent of old-fashioned analog film. The film’s POV shots mimic found footage, adding to its eerie atmosphere. However, Skinamarink falters as it undermines its tension with traditional startles and jump scares. Deviating from its otherwise brilliant path it started on.
Ball, known for his YouTube channel Bitesized Nightmares, infuses his esoteric style into Skinamarink. Merging it with the dark internet horror trend seen in works like We’re All Going to the World’s Fair. Set in 1995, the film follows siblings Kevin and Kaylee. Trapped in their home with their divorced father missing and doors and windows inexplicably gone. Ball skillfully employs dark corners, using digitally recreated film grain to obscure time passage and create a disorienting effect.
The disconcerting ambiance is intensified by oblique angles capturing the children’s feet, mid-20th-century cartoons, and inexplicably moving toys. A mysterious, unseen presence whispers to the children, adding authenticity to the lo-fi horror vibe. Skinamarink effectively distorts childhood memories, turning familiar objects and spaces into eerie images that evoke genuine fear.
The film explores the metaphor of a loveless family and a home devoid of protection, where darkness symbolizes accepted torment. However, conventional horror scares disrupt the film’s thematic cohesion, impacting its overall fabric. Despite its stylistic shortcomings, the film’s $15,000 budget and wide theatrical release are a rarity for such indie production. While Skinamarink may not fully deliver on its potential, it’s a positive development for the horror genre. Offering possibilities for a new wave of imaginative, web-inspired horror indies and contributing to Ball’s future career prospects.

Over twenty years ago we were blessed with a character named Ethan Hunt, and countless crazy scenes, stunts, plots, I-see-what-you-did-theres, and billions of dollars in profits, we can comfortably say that this is one of the best movies ever shot.
The seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible franchise hit the screens on July 12, 2023. We’re writing you this review complete with a few spoilers two days after it premiered in cinemas worldwide, but who’s counting?. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to read this review and then go watch Ethan Hunt save the world as usual.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One Cast
In the first part of Mission: Impossible 7, the main cast includes Tom Cruise, who will once again portray the character of Ethan Hunt. Alongside Cruise, we also see the return of Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge, and the witty Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn. Rebecca Ferguson starred as Ilsa Faust, Vanessa Kirby as Alanna Mitsopolis, and Frederick Schmidt as Zola Mitsopolis. All of these actors reprised their previous roles from the other movies. The Plot
In 1996, when Tom Cruise accepted the script for his role as Ethan Hunt, little did he know that he was going to breathe new life into a special character and perhaps set the premise for one of the greatest action movies of all time.
In the Mission: Impossible movies Cruise portrays this gritty and resourceful member of a fictional spy organization known as the Impossible Missions Force (IMF). Throughout the series till now, Cruise effortlessly embodied the daring and brilliant character of Hunt, which we believe is a remarkable achievement considering the lengthy duration of his portrayal.
Mission: Impossible 7 unfolds with an opening reminiscent of the 1990 American submarine spy thriller film “The Hunt for Red October.” We follow an artificially intelligent villain called the Entity, which is housed on a Russian submarine. This AI poses a grave threat to the world, as well as an opportunity for high-level people who seek to covet it.
Then enter Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), who knows more than enough about the stakes involved in bringing such technology to heel. He is assigned the mission to locate an old colleague named Ilsa (Rebecca Ferguson). Ethan Hunt and his team attempt to obtain the key to access the Entity’s source and shut it down from Ilsa. However, this pursuit of a potentially priceless yet extremely dangerous object involves a skilled thief named Grace (Atwell) and a villainous character (Esai Morales) who has connections with Ethan’s recruitment into the IMF.
Christopher McQuarrie successfully crafts Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One as an enjoyable film from beginning to end. The stunt performance behind the awe-inspiring action scenes deserves special awards this year.

The movie contains several scenes and dialogue that shaped the storyline and set the premise for the sequel. If there’s no cliffhanger, is that even a Tom Cruise movie?. One of the major revelations is the connection between Ethan’s past and the main antagonist Gabriel, who has ties to Ethan’s pre-IMF life. Gabriel killed someone named Maria, whom Ethan cared for. Leading to Ethan seeking revenge and eventually joining the Impossible Mission Force.
Another shocking twist is the death of Ilsa Faust, a major character in the franchise. Gabriel kills Ilsa as a means of serving the Entity, leaving Ethan devastated and seeking retribution. An incredibly talented fourteen-year-old high school student, Preston Mutanga animated the movie’s trailer in a viral clip on Twitter. A shot-by-shot LEGO version of the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse original trailer. This stunned the film’s writers and producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, leading them to personally approach him for a key scene in the movie.
Mutanga, hailing from Toronto, showcased his creativity in early January when he shared the two-minute recreation of the ‘Across the Spider-Verse’ trailer. Using Blender software, he cleverly mimicked Lego bricks and boom, it went wild on Twitterverse. After the trailer was released last year, Mutanga has dedicated himself to perfecting the clip since December 2022. In an interview with the New York Times, Miller said “We found out that it was a 14-year-old kid who made it. And we were like, This looks incredibly sophisticated for a non-adult, non-professional to have made. It blew us all away, including some of the best animators in the world.”

The experience proved enlightening for the young animator and he revealed it to the New York Times. “One new thing I learned was definitely the feedback aspect of it, like how much stuff actually gets changed from the beginning to the final product.”
After several weeks of dedicated work, Mutanga’s animation contribution was complete. Too Hot to Handle: Germany
Too Hot to Handle is a new Netflix reality Tv dating contest show hosted by a virtual assistant named Lana. Throughout the eight episodes of the first season, a group of 10 hot, German-speaking fellas who exclusively seek short-lived relationships converges in a house for four weeks.
Unbeknownst to this group of striking German-speaking bachelors, they must take a break from sex or anything sexual to win the grand prize of 200,000 euros. If any of the rules are broken, the prize reduces. Too Hot to Handle: Germany is geared at promoting genuine relationships between the cast members.
Each season starts with 10 new contestants, although subsequent additions are made as the show progresses. Also, competitors who are unable to form real bonds while in the house or unwilling to dedicate themselves to the tasks, processes, etc are sometimes booted out.
Love Is Blind
Love Is Blind is a dating reality Tv series that features 30 single people from the same city searching for love again. The participants are all paired in a speed-dating arrangement but can decide to have longer dates if they want.
The paired couples can equally propose marriage to themselves whenever they want. Although they can only meet up in person after the proposal is accepted. Once engaged, the couples then attend a couples’ retreat, before moving to an apartment complex. Where they spend time getting to know and understand each other. They also plan their weddings and make decisions such as choosing a wedding cake, decorations, venues, etc.

From our standpoint, The Menu movie is more than just a psychological thriller with enough nail-biting tension. As the usual horror movie tropes, there are murders, a killer with a motive, and unexpected twists and turns. Yet, the mother of all surprises is the spine-chilling ending of this movie. It leaves you questioning every scene, move, and character.
The Menu movie is a satire of upper-class society, directed by Mark Mylod. Written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. It chronicles a group of wealthy socialites who attends a food-tasting event held exclusively on a remote island. With each course served, the attendees realize that something sinister is going on, but why?.
The movie stars Anya Taylor-Joy as Margot Mills, Ralph Fiennes as Chef Slowik, and Nicholas Hoult as Tyler, among others.

What Is The Menu Movie About?
Visualize this, you pay heavily to take part in a private dining event that will claim your life even before the event comes to an end. Yikes!. Put simply, this is whatThe Menu movieis about.
Two young couples Anya Taylor-Joy and Nicholas Hoult are among the group of wealthy guests who travel to a secluded island destination for a luxury dinner prepared by a gourmet chef Ralph Fiennes.
In the menu movie, the name of the restaurant is Hawthorne, and is as high-end as they come. Even as the guests arrive on the island, the reception and cryptic replies from the tour guide suggest that something is off. The seating arrangement is strategically organized and each elite member is seated in pairs. The dishes are equally painstakingly planned to complement each other astronomically in five courses. Unknown to them, it was all an elaborate plan of Chef Slowik to annihilate them all.
The movie starts well—as every good horror movie does. The chef and his cooks serve the high-society guests comprising of jaded movie stars, arrogant food critics, corrupt millionaires, etc. With each course, the chef gives a resounding clap that unsettles everyone, which some of the guests quickly dismiss as part of the show. Since Slowik is not just a renowned chef, but a storyteller, his act of storytelling is what adds to the beauty of the event.
Who dies first in the menu movie?
Everyone seems to be immersed in the dishes. Tyler(Nicholas) gobbles every drop of food while Lilian(a food critic) criticizes nonstop with her partner and editor. The guests are held by Slowik’s haunting gaze and disturbing monologues filled with dramatic flair, except Margot(Taylor-joy). She’s not buying Slowik’s over-the-top acting or culinary skills and immediately calls him out on his bullshit. Unknown to Margot, she’s been on Slowik’s radar since her arrival.
Things soon take a dark turn when Slowik drowns the owner of his restaurant’s island, who is also a corrupt billionaire and makes the guests watch. Everyone is horrified as they watch this unfold. While everyone scrambles to leave, the chef signals one of his minions to sever the ring finger of another elite guest and this further elicits fear among the guests.
As they try to make sense of the situation, Chef Slowik then proceeded to serve tortillas with the guests’ private information laser printed on them. The accompanying protein for the tortillas is chicken thighs stabbed with tiny kitchen scissors which upsets everyone. Slowik hauntingly recounts how he stabbed his abusive father in the thigh years before when he wrapped a telephone cord around his mother’s throat. Slowik’s mother was also present at the event but was seated in a corner in a drunken state.
The plot thickens when Slowik orders Jeremy, one of the sous cooks to serve the fourth course called ‘The Mess.” Jeremy went ahead and pulled out a gun from his apron, then shoots himself in the mouth, blowing his brains out. By then, it is clear to the diners that none of them are making it out alive.
Why Did Chef Slowik Spare Margot?
Spoiler alert, everyone dies in the movie except Margot, who is the protagonist and the only one who put up a fight against Slowik’s sick plans. Margot is sent to retrieve a barrel from the smokehouse and wanders off to the Chef’s quarters where she discovers a replica of the restaurant. Along with Slowik’s room containing photographs, awards, newspaper clippings, and Slowik’s previous life. There, she realizes that Slowik is a tortured cook who has lost interest in feeding people. She glimpses at Chef Slowik’s former life through the photographs and concludes that what people genuinely think of his food matters to him more than the price they pay to eat it.
Armed with this revelation, Margot goes back to the restaurant with the barrel and confronts Slowik. After verbally trashing all of Slowik’s previous fancy dishes, she orders a non-fancy cheeseburger. This, he makes with pure relish—although it was just a tiny smile he wore. He serves Margot the cheeseburger which for the first time since her arrival on the island, she enjoys. After telling him how good it was, she pays and requests for a to-go pack. Surprisingly, Slowik lets her go.
Then for the final course, we see Slowik and his staff prepare dessert, which was an artful display of s’mores. Slowik’s lineup of cooks dress the guests up in marshmallows and chocolate hats and after emptying the barrel Margot brought, he stands in the center and lights himself, the customers, and all the staff up. We see Margot eating what’s left of her cheeseburger on a coast guard boat that she found after she left the restaurant. An explosion rocks the restaurant and we hear the resounding clap that Chef Slowik usually uses to announce the arrival of a dish.
The Menu Movie Ending Explained
One might ask, why does Chef Slowik kill everyone in this movie?. In the movie, Slowik reveals little pieces of information regarding the customers and his disdain for those who eat from his restaurant because they can afford it. What he refers to as ‘takers.’
His motive for doing this? Slowik was no longer passionate about his craft. Is that enough reason to commit mass murder? Most people villainize Slowik for his distorted mindset, but if you’re able to look past the sicko you get to see how he no longer cooks with relish or passion. He cooks with an obsession to make the perfect dishes for his insatiable customers. Who is never pleased with his dishes? Rather, they choose to condemn dishes they can’t even make.
We see classism at play from the beginning of the movie till the end. The food critic nitpicks every single detail of the dishes served and it was further revealed that she was the reason several restaurants that didn’t meet her standards were closed down. Slowik mentions how she never allows upcoming chefs to showcase their talent and Slowik was a victim too.
Save for the fact that Tyler’s date dumped him last minute, Margot wouldn’t be in attendance and this shows how disposable commoners are to members of the upper class. Tyler’s hype of his knowledge about food is excessive and when called on to cook, it was an epic fail that led to Slowik ordering him to hang himself. He presents himself as a cook and foodie, but couldn’t cook to save his life. This portrays the ostentatiousness of the elite.

What Is The New Show Wednesday About?
If you’re wondering what makes this show stand out, well, it’s Wednesday Addams herself. Jenna Ortega absolutely crushes the role. I mean, she brings an edge to the character that’s more twisted and mysterious than anything we’ve seen before. Honestly, Ortega’s portrayal of Wednesday is so good it’ll leave you wondering if the girl sleeps in a coffin IRL.

But what really caught my attention? The storyline. It’s like Netflix and Tim Burton decided to throw Edgar Allan Poe into the mix, sprinkle in a little teenage rebellion, and voilà—we’ve got a masterpiece. The show centers around Wednesday, the ever-sarcastic, deadpan daughter of Gomez and Morticia, who’s banished to Nevermore Academy. And let me tell you, this place makes Hogwarts look like a summer camp.
At Nevermore, we’ve got a creepy cast of misfits, outcasts, and monsters. Wednesday doesn’t exactly fit in—obviously—but that’s what makes her journey so interesting. The whole season is full of twists, turns, and some seriously creepy visions that even made me wonder if Wednesday’s losing her grip on reality.
Why Wednesday Addams Is Our Favorite Anti-Hero
Now let’s talk about Wednesday herself. We all knew she had a dark side, but wow, this version takes it to a whole new level. She’s sarcastic, emotionally detached, and absolutely allergic to any form of sentimentality or affection. (Bright colors? Get those out of here!) Yet, you can’t help but love her. She’s fiercely loyal to her family, and as much as she tries to stay detached, her connections with other characters like Enid (her chirpy roommate) and even the ever-watchful Principal Weems, keep her grounded.
What I loved most was watching her outsmart everyone around her. She’s solving mysteries, battling dark forces, and escaping death all while never breaking a sweat (or a smile). Plus, her psychic abilities? They give the show that extra creepy, supernatural vibe that pulls you in.
And then there’s the dialogue! It’s full of sharp wit, dark humor, and just the right amount of sarcasm to remind you why Wednesday Addams is such an iconic character. Jenna Ortega owns this role. From the eerie pigtails to her permanently deadpan stare, it’s like the character was written for her.
Tim Burton’s Gothic Wonderland

With numerous setbacks weighing their relationship, Tessa finally breaks it off and moves to New York with her friend and Hardin’s brother, Landon.
In August 2022, there was a reveal of a secret sequel to After Ever Happy and the official title will be After Everything. Both Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes will co-star in this fifth instalment.
